There’s a boy in one of my classes that wears a fish backpack—not a backpack with fishes on it but a crayola-primary-colored backpack in the shape of a fish. Today, during our discussion on mountain-top removal, I saw him slip a copy of Out of the Silent Planet inside our textbook. You badass, I wanted to say, reading all that C.S Lewis during class discussions.

For what it’s worth, I miss my family and sleep and finishing books and people who knew me before August 21st, 2009. All of this has been good, you know. The things I’m excited about and awakened to could build a mountain, fill up a library, make enough friendship bread to last till the next century. But it’s exhausting. I made up a calendar today and, if nothing changes, I have two free Saturday’s until exams. The first one is in two days; the next one is in April.

I recieved three exciting emails today. That’s a start, I think.
